1908 – THE BIG YEAR IN NUSFJORD

From 1906-1910 there was over 1000 fishermen in Nusfjord. The top was in 1908 when it was 1538 registered fishermen in Nusfjord, divided on 362 boats. Along with the fishing fleet there was a lot of secondary activities. In the beginning of March there were 47 trading ships in dock. All the cabins were overcrowded and some had to sleep with the pigs.
In 1908 there were 103 cabins. The store was finished and this year Dahl built a powerhouse.
